Media Shed is a dynamic media sales agency providing a high-quality service to industry leading clients.

We have an unrivalled depth of expertise across B2B and B2C selling online media, magazine, sponsorship and events to an engaged customer base, both direct and agency. We develop a deep understanding of clients and their industries and work seamlessly with in-house teams and other suppliers.

Managing Director

Ian Carter

Ian Carter started out as an agency planner / buyer with TMP, working with many of the UK’s most successful organisations. In ad sales since ’92, as an Ad Manager on Business and Consumer titles, Ian was MD of McMillan-Scott / Ten Alps from 2002-2009, during which period he transformed the business into a successful multimedia sales agency. He has a Masters in Strategic Business Management (Westminster) and a Postgrad Diploma in Management Studies (Greenwich).

Likes: Classic cars, snowboarding, cycling, having fun with his kids, pretending to be hip.

Dislikes: Ladders, earwigs and cucumber sandwiches.

Tim Porter

Tim has over two decades experience driving growth across print, digital and events revenues in a broad range of industries including agriculture, healthcare, HR, construction and communications. In his role as Head of Sales at RELX Group, Tim took full commercial responsibility for brands including Farmers Weekly, Optician and Hairdressers Journal.

In a world full of complex language and even more complex sales strategy, Tim believes in a no-nonsense approach to driving sales performance. His pragmatic approach to selling delivers great results for both our customers and clients alike.

Likes: Catfish Angling, Chelsea FC, Japanese Cars and Rick Springfield

Dislikes: Morris Men, Bananas, Moths and Hip Hop

Mark is a highly experienced Ad Sales Manager who has worked at some of the UK's leading publishing houses, including Nexus, Brooklands and Hearst.

Mark has a keen interest in current affairs and media and a wealth of established contacts in Consumer and Travel advertising.

Likes: Football, Golf, Moto GP, spending time with family and friends, dining out, and travelling.

Dislikes: Traffic, Rudeness, Tea (Yes, I don't like tea!)

Senior Sales Executive

Mark Gardner

Ross is a Media Studies Graduate (Chichester) with a successful track record in sales and client services prior to joining us in the shed. Ross is a keen and knowledgeable sportsman and music enthusiast, and a highly valued member of the team, despite being a Liverpool fan.

Likes: Classic Mini’s, Football (constantly, compulsively and obsessively) , Gin and Tonic, Food and Music

Dislikes: Brexit, Being Nagged, Being cold, The X-factor and Baseball (No sport should centre around eating breaks for fast food and be so dull to watch)

Accounts and Office Manager

Kim Spiers

Kim is our Accounts Manager with extensive experience gained in Accountancy practice and the Events industry. Kim enjoys a good book, the countryside and a good gig.

Likes: Cuddles with her grand-dog Franco, Holidays with the hubby, going to gigs.

Dislikes: Peas (the Devil's food and root of all evil), Chelsea FC, Rude People.

Sales Executive

Charlotte Dyason

Charlotte, the newest member of the Media Shed team, graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University after studying in Film, Radio and Television (Specialising in Radio).

Likes: Travelling, Disney, Comics, Harry Potter and Queen.

Dislikes: Cold weather, Olives and Rude people.

Accounts Assistant

Andrea Allbone

Andrea has a wealth of experience, gained in publishing accounts, finance and subscriptions. She has worked on some of the UK's top publishing brands, is a great positive force in the office, and has the problem-solving skills of a Saint.

Likes: Feeding family and friends, watching her daughter trying to play tag with the dog, coffee, red wine and G&T (not all at once) and flowers.

Dislikes: People pleasers, custard, Ugg boots.
